Witzenmann: Your Partner for Regenerative Energy Solutions
In addition to an optimum energetic yield, progressive solutions for regenerative energies also offer a long service life and freedom from maintenance. Especially well-conceived details and extremely high processing quality permit maximum efficiency. From roof-mounted collector connections and flexible pipework to heat exchangers in the cellar: as the inventor of the metal hose, Witzenmann provides the perfect solution for every area of application and manufactures special tubing for thermal siphons as its latest innovation.Visit us in hall C2 Booth-No. 251!
Solutions for solar installations and energy from wood
Simple mounting, efficiency, a long service life – this is what the use of regenerative energies of the future looks like. Even in the case of private and multi-family homes, solutions that can be installed and commissioned without expense are what count, whether these solutions are solar installations, mini or combined heat and power plants, or wood pellet and wood chip heating systems. In the case of both modular elements and completely ready-to-install system solutions everywhere in and around the house, the elements of Witzenmann have the highest possible effectiveness. HYDRA collector bellows , for example, make this possible by acting as panel or collector connectors for solar installations. Due to their particularly small design, solar collectors can be built into smaller spaces, which increases the existing area. Witzenmann expansion joints meet the strictest quality standards and are designed for up to 10,000 load changes.
Heat exchangers of Witzenmann
Flexible metal hoses conduct the recovered energy to special heat exchangers for layer and buffer storage without losses, for example. There, they heat service and drinking water in an environmentally sound manner at a higher degree of efficiency than in the case of conventional solutions.
Profiling in the corrugated ring hoses permit eddies that optimally distribute the heat in the water. Due to the corrugation, such hoses have an up to 50% greater area at the same size as conventional heat exchange modules.
With its up to two metre large modules having an outer diameter of up to 600 mm, Witzenmann offers a product that is precisely adapted to any application and manufactured in the most common sizes, such as 1,000 litres.
Patented connection technology for simple mounting
Plug-in, screw, and clamping connections are the secret of simple installation, which can be performed on site in a time-saving and thus affordable manner. The connections between stainless steel bellows and copper tube of a solar panel thus require no soldering or welding. Rigid lines and flexible hoses can therefore be connected easily.
The installation of special mounting kits with components that have been perfected adapted to each other is particularly easy. Here, the mounting time is reduced to a minimum. Some solutions can even be attached without tools using a clamp.
Special piping for thermal siphons
At Intersolar 2010, Witzenmann presented its latest innovation: special tubing for thermal siphons. Semi-flexible lines made of smooth tubes and corrugated profiling act as feed and return lines and enable the circulation of hot and cold water between the tank and solar panel. The ends fit all thermal siphon groups and can be installed with the flick of a wrist. Of particular advantage is the low pressure loss of the ducting in comparison with completely corrugated lines.

The Witzenmann company group
"Managing flexibility" is the claim and vision of the Witzenmann Group.
In 1885, jewellery manufacturer Heinrich Witzenmann of Pforzheim
founded the metal hose and compensator industry with the invention of the metal hose. Now, after 125 years, the Witzenmann Group is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of flexible metallic elements like metal hoses, compensators, metal bellows, and vehicle parts. 3,000 employees at 23 sites worldwide earned a turnover of EUR320 million in 2009.
