BAUMA 2010 - Witzenmann ideally equipped for Tier 4

This year again Witzenmann, technology leader in the field of flexible metallic elements, will be represented at the Bauma. In preparation for the exhaust emissions regulations Tier 4 interim due to come into force in 2011 and Tier 4 final planned for 2014, Witzenmann will be presenting flexible stainless steel line systems for exhaust systems and near-motor applications such as exhaust gas and oil recirculation lines meeting the more stringent specifications. You will find us in hall A3, Booth-No. 316.

In addition to the conventional stripwound hoses with interlocked profile, Witzenmann now offers exhaust gas-tight special stripwound hoses of stainless steel. They are characterised by high robustness and torsional strength.
These special stripwound hoses have already formed part of the broadest product range in the industry for many years and are successfully employed in the commercial vehicle sector. Customer know-how is available here that has been established and proven for years. The hoses are designed specially in line with the customers’ specification book and tested on numerous test stands. A special machine park is available for these tests at the Pforzheim competence centre with which all aspects and demands can be tested, such as 6-axis test stands.

Gas-tight decoupling elements
One highlight are the gas-tight elements that help the customer meet the strict requirements of Tier 4. At the Bauma, Witzenmann will be presenting metal bellows and expansion joints that are perfectly designed for use in commercial vehicles. Witzenmann thus has the full range of flexible elements and can offer manufacturers of commercial vehicles and construction machinery huge advantages. The right solution, optimised to meet the requirements of the particular application, can be designed and offered. 

System solutions from a single source
As a competent system supplier, Witzenmann offers its customers comprehensive service from a single source. This also includes the use of our own modern pipe bending machines. The pipes are bent to suit the respective application and supplied to the customer as a complete line system with integrated flexible element – and with the matching individual connection geometry. This is ensured by the in-house machines for pipe end finishing on which the pipes can be prepared for simple integration into existing systems even before they leave our works.

Thanks to a vast pool of engineers, the Pforzheim-based company and its subsidiaries has established itself as a qualified solution provider with profound know-how in engineering and manufacture covering a broad spectrum of products. That enables us to think further – and hence ultimately find solutions for every intended application.
