Prototype construction & technical laboratory

Ideas form the basis for innovative products. An important milestone in the implementation of successful ideas during the course of product development is the construction of prototypes. The knowledge of suitable methods, the use of innovative technologies, experience in the selection of the optimum material, precision and outstanding workmanship are basic prerequisites for producing prototypes that meet the demands of the technology and quality leader.
In our prototype centre with its vast machine park, experienced employees assemble specimens and pre-series parts for which series production tools do not yet exist, often with specially developed and manufactured jigs and tools. The rapid production of the prototypes makes a major contribution to reducing development times on a product's road to series production maturity.
In order to be up-to-date in production engineering at all times, our development engineers continuously optimise the basic production methods for the manufacture of flexible metallic elements, such as pipe forming, pipe welding, ring corrugation, coiling and bellows pressing in our in-house technical laboratory. This has specific testing machines that determine process limits under near-series conditions and  try out new tools and tool concepts.
