ISO 14001:2004 Certification in Witzenmann do Brazil

Witzenmann Brazil gave a new step towards excellence last March 17th. This date marks the first certification of the Environmental Management System applied in the branch, based in the ISO 14.001:2004. The concern about environmental issues was always in the company’s culture. Since the beginning of it’s activities, the brazilian sub-sidiary tried to give the best destination for it’s residues, diminishing the impact on the Environment using separation, segregation and contracting specialized companies that collect, recycle and re-utilize or reprocess the materials, transforming them in new products.

   The 14.001 norm has focus on environmental protection, pollution prevention and an efficient and conscientious use of the natural resources. It’s a trend in all markets to demand it’s suppliers implementation of, at least, an Environmental Management System. The natural evolution of having this system is the certification.
   The certification process of Witzenmann Brazil was running since the beginning of 2009, with the system being planned and devel-oped. This new success is consequence of work and dedication from various areas of the branch. These areas will keep doing their best, always with continuous improvement, targeting the maintenance of certification.
